Very nice food at this unassuming neighborhood restaurant. The chorizo enchiladas were particularly tasty.

Pica Taco is one of our go-tos for when we don't have time to make dinner (or we're just too lazy). We usually just get the enchiladas, although it's probably also my favorite place in the neighborhood for tacos

Pics is my favorite tamale spot. I always get their verses tamales and they're so big and filling. I get two and have leftovers. The enchiladas with rice and beans are also always yummy. Pica is my go to stop. Thinking about requesting tamales to take home and freeze

This wonderful place has amazing food. Everything I ordered was so good and perfectly seasoned. I got a bean and cheese breakfast taco and a potato egg and cheese breakfast taco! Soo good. Idk if I would recommend the chorizo queso without the chorizo like I did (vegetarian) bc the lovely guy said it best the chorizo gives it the flavor!! My friend got a San Diego burrito which he said was "damn good"! Great job guys keep up the good food! It's appreciated!

I know this is gonna ruffle some feathers, but Mexican food in DC is average at best. I've tried many of the spots, but nothing really does it for me here. And that's okay. Not every place is San Antonio, Santa Fe, or San Diego. But, I just haven't been able to find a non-fancy joint that I really dig. So, the next spot to check out is Pica Taco. We were looking for carryout close to Malcolm X Park and the menu looked good, so check & check. We ordered a pretty good variety, both meat and veggie options. My spouse really liked their tacos (got her one breakfast and one veggie). The breakfast burrito was just okay. As someone who grew up on breakfast tacos and burritos in Austin, the egg to bean ratio should be about 2:1 (or keep the beans on the side). Pica Taco's was 1:1, which isn't great. I also tried a tamale and the flavor was excellent; I just wish there'd been a little more filling in the middle. And the guacamole was perfect (you can always add salt to your liking). The overall price is fair enough. The drinks are too high (you should bring your own if you're doing carryout). We thought we were also supposed to receive free chips and salsa (and we ordered an additional chips and salsa because we had a big group), but we only received one order. Overall, this place does the job if you're looking for something more authentic than Taco Bell Cantina. If you live in the neighborhood (which we don't), it's a perfect go-to spot. 3.5 out of 5
